Soft Dreams with BathBy Sander Wassink
Houses are usually quite hard, due to them being made of unforgiving materials such as brick, stone, steel, and glass. Soft dreams is the opposite. It’s huggable and soft, with a façade fully covered in lush carpet. Here, hitting a wall is actually not that bad!

About the designer
Sander Wassink encourages us to reconsider beauty, aesthetic value and status. He embraces the discarded, the abandoned, the left over and imagines how it can be reapplied. His creative practice sees him heavily engaging in product deconstruction, harnessing raw material to develop objects with new meaning. His work is held in various museum collections, among them the Princessehof Ceramics Museum and Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen.
In Rotterdam Wassink redesigned the rooms’ interiors, created a bathroom concept for all 36 rooms, made technical drawings for the plumbers, electricians, tile setters and builders, monitored production on site, and found unique tiles, tabs, floors, and paint. He also pointed out producers for specific builds, and designed and produced sofas, tables, chairs, sinks, room shelves and other furniture and fixtures. One could easily say that Sander is on of the main pillars HNH Rotterdam was built on.
